It's exactly the ease and simplicity of WithKnown that keeps me coming back to it too.

I've finally gotten around to installing the update for the Twitter plugin for @WithKnown to support the longer 280 character limit. With any luck this will serve as a positive test that everything is working properly.

Have you updated yet?

For wider adoption, your best bet is probably to pare down WordPress a tad and see what you can make of it. I know David Shanske has a starter version of Underscores with microformats in it already. I think a large portion of the micro.blog crowd that has gone IndieWeb are using it as their CMS of choice.

The other interesting platform to look at is WithKnown which was built from scratch with IndieWeb specifically in mind.

For adopt-a-bility and reach, you could also look at building things like webmentions into projects like Mastodon which already has some IndieWeb pieces built into it.

You could also try asking in the IndieWeb chat at https://indieweb.org/discuss for lots of additional ideas/thoughts.

Here's a rough chart that may give you some useful ideas too: https://indieweb.org/indieweb_network

Ooh! Someone's working on a service worker for @WithKnown!

@reclaimhosting Do you offer a one-click install of @withknown in your dashboard? And if so, which version?

The best source of information is from Known itself: https://withknown.com/
You can also find their documentation here: http://docs.withknown.com/en/latest/

@jeremyjmonroe Have you enabled @withknown crosspost so I can post to my site & send it to known.cloud? https://github.com/mapkyca/KnownKnown

A Virtual Tool Parade http://umwdtlt.com/virtual-tool-parade with a well deserved @withknown reference

@nlafferty I'm using @withknown to own my own bookmarks instead of letting a 3rd party do it.

@jensimmons The best content-type-focused CMS set ups I've seen with the broadest array of out-of-the-box supported types are @WithKnown (+plugins http://docs.withknown.com/en/latest/plugins/community/) and @WordPress with the Post Kinds plugin http://indieweb.org/static-site

@nlafferty I am still actively using @withknown, both personally and professionally. The private communities I set up are still actively being used by many in the group long after the original course was over. A few have set up their own individual sites and migrated their content out as well.

Another option that may be interesting is setting up a community space that people can be a part of natively or which they can have their own individual sites and syndicate their content to it as necessary or desirable.

If you'd like to chat about it I'm happy to do so via phone/internet/other. I suspect you might find some value in conversing with the folks at Known directly as well.

@nlafferty I have a personal @withknown install, & I've also used a private "group" version for some small classes in the past. Loved it!

@nlafferty I suspect @wiobyrne has used @withknown in the past as well
