I'm hoping that @ctaylsaurus & @SciFri follow up on "Relearning The Star Stories Of Indigenous Peoples" http://www.sciencefriday.com/articles/indigenous-peoples-astronomy/ with some coverage of Duane Hamacher's

Trying out a new set of filters on my Twitter timeline & discovered it's a pretty pleasant wall of @FrogandToadbot and @sentantiq tweets. 😍

@peterhagen_ Better @Hypothes_is notifications is always something I've wanted. This would be a cool feature, but it should also include the ability to mute or turn particular pages off to mitigate potential misuse. It's richer and more valuable than Twitter for a reason.

@GoingThinking I'll agree but note that I wasn't replying to @drmichaellevin, but a tweet that has since been deleted. You're missing all the context for what I was specifically replying to. See also: http://stream.boffosocko.com/2018/bizarro1303-i-think-the-definition-both-then-and-now-is

It may take a little bit of set up/registration, but there are Twitter & Mastodon plugins for Known that should allow you to syndicate directly with simple buttons. It will allow you to syndicate without those dreadful Brid.gy "shadow" URLs that also show up in your syndicated copies as well as your URLs.

See: http://docs.withknown.com/en/latest/plugins/community/

@Cambridgeport90 You need to tweak the theme so that Jetpack isn't included in the div with e-content.
You can use Indiewebify.me to test. Bridgy also has a preview option at https://brid.gy/twitter/Cambridgeport90

My fervent wish for in 2020 would be for all badges to show preference for featuring people's websites (over Twitter) and for speakers to say, "Contact me on/through my website" instead of saying, "Ping me on the birdsite."

If you haven't come across it, related to the vagaries of keeping up with corporate APIs, I remember Gina Trapani and Anil Dash indicating that they closed their product Think Up (available on GitHub) because their engineering team was spending huge amounts of time keeping up with changing APIs of Facebook, Twitter, et al. Perhaps it could serve as an additional and illustrative case study?

@DaveTheSemitist Perhaps it's not your specific bailiwick, but do you have any colleagues with an opinion?

@spinsterofutica Perhaps you missed the tail end of @LibSkrat's conversation: https://twitter.com/LibSkrat/status/1020319230695231488
Many are working on these and other sorts of abuses as well. Additionally projects like Akismet are aware of the spec and work reasonably well with it.

@evertp @markusstaab I built some Twitter buttons into my site, but haven't iterated on them as I'd like to:

@davewiner I've had some reasonable experience with using https://www.subtome.com/ to create a better modern interface for users as a gateway into RSS. We need to make it easier for people to want to consume things outside of Facebook and Twitter.
