What's up with the fighter jets circling Los Angeles for the past 10 minutes?

@zorn That was the general consensus on Twitter and Facebook as well. It did coincide roughly with the start time of the Dodger game, though I do have to wonder why they flew over our house so many times (and generally so low).

The general consensus was that it was a flyover for opening day for the Dodgers at Chavez Ravine. They circled around about 5 times and buzzed the house pretty close the first time. I suspect they must have come back for the close of the game as well as they circled by a couple of times several hours later.
I asked the same thing, and got the same Dodgers answer. I tried to get shots of them, too!
