I do remember reading it, in part because the text wouldn't load for me on Chrome (paywall issue perhaps?), and in part because I've been to the two farmers' markets mentioned at the top and bottom of the article. They're probably actually worse than depicted in the piece, not to mention that they're all also anti-vaxxers to boot.
It reminds me of an April Fools prank news story last week which was pretty funny and that you'll likely appreciate: http:/
Also a bit reminiscent of a piece my friend Matt wrote with his 2017 food predictions: https:/
I'm not seeing the HTML export on the desktop version of Kindle (from 2015) on my work laptop at the moment, but I'm positive it's hiding somewhere on my desktop machine, which is currently out of commission for some quirky problems. When I get it running, I'll try to document the feature as I don't think I've seen it mentioned anywhere else and it was tremendously easy and helpful.
I hadn't tried Bookcision as I'd stumbled across what I supposed was an easy answer, but there are a few edge cases for non-Amazon books in my collection that might benefit from using it as Amazon doesn't always play well with content that doesn't originate from the "mothership".
A while back, I'd bookmarked http:/
For general file conversion you might appreciate Pandoc: http:/
There are also some in the community who have tools (like Kevin Marks' http:/
Finally, I liked the teleprompter.css hint for marked2, but if you've not come across it, I often read newspaper, magazine articles, and fiction on my mobile using RSVP-related technology (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) which has been patented (though I'm not so sure it's enforcable) by http:/
JetPack has shortcode support for recipes that adds some markup (schema if I remember). I'm not a huge fan of shortcodes, but I've been meaning to finish tweaking their code to add microformats markup too. https:/

@cosenalgo @michael_nielsen If I remember, @kevinmarks did some work last year on BBC recipe collection w/ microformats semantic markup too
@cswordpress I hadn't run across the keyboard issue with the bookmarklet yet, but I'm glad you're taking a look at fixing it. If you get some time, feel free to add your fix and links to the code at http:/
Several of us in the WordPress IndieWeb "camp" have been pushing to have more microformats2 compatible themes available to increase the selection. If you can push the Genesis framework project to include them, that would be phenomenal! Some of the notes on this work can be found and added to at https:/
Thanks everyone for taking a look and for the help!
Apologies if I offended anyone -- without having read through any of the brid.gy code, I wasn't quite sure what was going on. My suspicion for a while has been that using the [uf2 plugin](https:/
I was previously aware that the entry-content div on my theme overextended itself (https:/
I saw some of the resulting discussion in the #indieweb-dev channel, so I'm glad my beastly banging on and breaking of things may help improve things for coming generations. ;)
@dshanske We should remember to ping the Independent Publisher theme if you decide to make changes, as I suspect it'll have the same issue(s). It's been a while since I looked at the code for it, but I recall he created a mf2.php in the theme to inject microformats similarly to uf2 or one of your recent blogposts.
Nope, Twitter links work like they should (as do most others I've run across on https).
I do remember @petermolnar having a possibly related issue back in March. It had something to do with his server supporting SSLv3. See also:

and if necessary https:/
I remember looking at Rebelmouse and thinking it was very interesting, but I was doing so probably at just about the same time I was getting into the IndieWeb concept and that killed it all for me.
Sorry to hear that it's all going down as I know how much you've invested in it. Plans to build a replacement? ;) I've been doing some thinking about how to better/more easily do content curation in an IndieWeb forward manner, but yet to have work out a complete workflow for it.
Thanks @snarfed, brilliant find as I wouldn't have thought of it. I took out the first one which I'd had hiding in a widget and moved into my header for clarity a few months back.
I vaguely recall putting the others in many months ago, but honestly I can't remember for the life of me where they came from (probably IWC) or which portion of my WordPress is actually generating them now. I also don't seem to recall where I was hiding my code that injects my rel="icon" photos (primarily for shortcut buttons on iOS and Android), though I'm guessing they're in the same place. Any suggestions on where a clever guy who's too sleep deprived to find them right now may have hidden them? None of the IndieWeb plugin sub-plugins would be generating them quietly could they?!
The quirky part is that all three lines have been in there a while and (to my knowledge) haven't been causing problems until about a week ago.
The 6 or so outstanding webmentions went right through without any issue, so I'll mark this as closed for now unless problems continue.
IndieWeb and Android Mobile
@dshanske I remember you mentioning it briefly the other day and then saw something more specific this morning: http:/
Have you hacked around with either Bookmarklet Free or URL Forwarder apps from the Google Play store? They’re mentioned in the following two places:
https:/
http:/
I’d gotten URL Forwarder set up and configured to make mobile sharing for my WithKnown install to make bookmarking, sharing, reposting, and a few other functionalities work incredibly quickly and well. I’ve put off doing so on WP since I have some other back-end dependencies that need tweaking so that I don’t create redundant loops with some of my other configuration. With any luck one or the other will get you pretty far without having a full micropub application.
With these you can use Android’s ubiquitous sharing icon and share to one or the other of the apps which will do the URL scraping to be able to do some of the posting types you want. Depending on the output, you may need one or two additional tweaks, but it’ll give you a reasonable template for a workflow. I’m sure some further url parameters and integration could be put in to auto checking the correct post kind and thereby making your posts fully indieweb compatible on WP. Adding Indieweb Press This https:/
Then, I’m sure there’s the additional functionality of API calls to Twitter/Facebook/etc. to implement the actual retweet/like on the native platform, but that could be handled later/separately (though Bridgy Publish might be able to handle this? I seem to remember a mention of it in the bookmarklet set up.)
Finally, if “Post Properties” could import the same URL and scrape the metadata, the entire process would be almost too simple and not need a “traditional” mobile app at all.
For URL Forwarder the base settings should be:

Hopefully this gets you a few steps further on android mobile without a huge amount of work…
