@MarkDykeman If it helps to have a concrete example, here's my user page, which isn't always obvious for newcomers: https://hypothes.is/users/chrisaldrich

And here's some posts I've made in the past about use cases, tricks, etc. https://boffosocko.com/tag/hypothes.is/

@RicJBarnes The cultural anthropologist in me is curious about more specifics.
Here's my example of what I'm doing currently and some context:

@QwxleaA @ade_oshineye @houshuang In fact, here's a good example of one of @andy_matuschak's notes interacting directly via webmention to create bi-directional links (albeit just a notification in this case) with my notes. https://boffosocko.com/2021/07/03/differentiating-online-variations-of-the-commonplace-book-digital-gardens-wikis-zettlekasten-waste-books-florilegia-and-second-brains/#comment-368792

A refback (remember those?!) today reminded me about this post: Non-technical IndieWeb: Fun, Creativity, Community, and “Content” https://boffosocko.com/2020/12/20/non-technical-indieweb-fun-creativity-community-and-content/
I should try to add more on and to my IndieWeb Collection https://boffosocko.com/research/indieweb/

Replied to a post on werd.io :

@MuireallPrase Maybe this helps with context? https://boffosocko.com/2022/05/09/the-logos-ethos-and-pathos-of-indieweb/
I like your site; glad to virtually meet another who's interested in physics, math, and typesetting!

@edheil Yes. Here's a colophon page on my main site that outlines most of the pieces for many of my sites: https://boffosocko.com/about/colophon/

It seems like a good day to highlight this short video presentation I made last year at an academic conference and posted to my own website:
"A Twitter of Our Own" https://boffosocko.com/2021/04/26/a-twitter-of-our-own-at-oerxdomains-2021-conference/

@elizabutlermd It is clever, isn't it? I've done a bit of tinkering towards making handwritten notes like this dovetail into my personal commonplace book and Obisidian-based workflows recently: https://boffosocko.com/2021/12/20/55799844/

@miniver Niklas Luhmann wrote an interesting snippet about

@GoingThinking I'll agree but note that I wasn't replying to @drmichaellevin, but a tweet that has since been deleted. You're missing all the context for what I was specifically replying to. See also: http://stream.boffosocko.com/2018/bizarro1303-i-think-the-definition-both-then-and-now-is

In fact, it's become quite a lot of data lately, sometimes up to 50 items a day. I'll have to add you to my list of people to follow on @hypothes_is
https://boffosocko.com/2019/11/07/following-people-on-hypothesis/

@mattmaldre I *AM* reverse syndicating all of that content back to my site (as well as a separate @ObsdMD notebook), it's just private by default. Some details: https://boffosocko.com/2020/08/29/a-note-taking-problem-and-a-proposed-solution/

@Cambridgeport90 I don't worry about them stepping on each other, I simply make sure they're cross-linked so that if I go looking for something, I'll be able to find it. Webmention definitely helps in this respect.

As an example you'll notice that my earlier response (http://stream.boffosocko.com/2021/roberthaisfield-i-agree-wholeheartedly-and-have-written-a-bit-about) links to part of the related commentary on my main site, so there will be a webmention in the comments there that ties it all together.
