@lordmatt I'm not aware of a centralized collection (yet). Some, but not all, of the projects and sites you'll find at https://indieweb.org/discovery have some resources for finding people who can send/receive webmentions. Everyone on @microdotblog certainly can.

@Kdecherf I use both WordPress with trimmings and WithKnown is lovely out of the box. But unless you enjoy the tinkering/experimenting/learning as a hobby, minimize for admin tax and maximize for fun. @MicroDotBlog is a great turnkey and inexpensive option.

@eay @_quinnO @waxpancake What's interesting, is that as I read Andy's thread, I could have as easily substituted @microdotblog for Mastodon & said much the same thing. While hooking your own site into it de novo may be a hurdle, for $5/mo the hosted version using your own domain is very simple.

@outlandishjosh I could easily see @getpantheon building IndieWeb stacks with @WordPress +Plugins or @Drupal or @backdropcms + https://www.drupal.org/project/indieweb to expand this type of decentralized web interaction in a way similar to @microdotblog

Spent all of two minutes creating the custom domain http://micro.boffosocko.com and mapping it over to my micro.blog account using the CNAME set up as documented here: http://help.micro.blog/2015/custom-domains/
That was entirely too easy...

Mobile UI suggestion: Chat bubble or menu option to create post from home screen · Issue #24 · microdotblog/issues https://github.com/microdotblog/issues/issues/24

The Timeline, Mentions, and Favorites all have a "chat" icon in the upper right to allow one to create a status update. Why not also include this on the main homescreen (or a "Create Post" button just above Timeline) so there's one less step to posting? It also makes it easier for new users to figure out how to post.
