@Joseph_Koivisto @edsu I would heartily invite you all to come to in Baltimore Jan 20-21: https://indieweb.org/2018/Baltimore It will be an even better introduction than the narrower scope Homebrew Website Club.

@DrNomyn @mrkrndvs @GFThommo @willrich45 Interestingly the idea of online field work (aka sharecropping) has been around for over a decade now! https://indieweb.org/sharecropping
I dream of a day when the only online field work is being done by cultural anthropologists.

@anarchivist I've always thought that ideas were Earth-shaking too, but never to this extent!

I've seen lots of annual reflections related posts and the idea behind this particular type is brilliant!

Another secret would be to add the twitter meta data so that the visually impaired using screen readers can read the text on the syndicated copies.

@mrkrndvs Somehow I new you'd have a whole post about it! I just couldn't find it (maybe due to the late hour...). Thanks for lighting my candle.

Incidentally the quote on that card may be better attributed to Thomas Jefferson: http://boffosocko.com/2011/06/27/on-the-fallacy-of-diminishing-returns/ though some may have a reasonable argument that it's far older: https://fakebuddhaquotes.com/thousands-of-candles-can-be-lighted-from-a-single-candle-and-the-life-of-the-single-candle-will-not-be-shortened-happiness-never-decreases-by-being-shared/

Perhaps build the basic functionality for posts and then add a sidebar widget and or code snippet one could throw into a header/footer to display elsewhere?

@mrkrndvs Do you have a tool or process for creating your site's "quote cards"? They're nicely and consistently made. Very reminiscent of @davewiner's http://littlecardeditor.com/ or http://pngwriter.com/

@mrkrndvs Nice IndieWeb user page Aaron. Saw your note about posting via Android and thought this page would help if you haven't seen it yet: https://indieweb.org/mobile_posting

@RheeMor Reminds me of an awesome science project I saw a few years ago:
