You know it's a major problem when a serious mathematician doesn't know the cardinality of his fleeces. https://twitter.com/JSEllenberg/status/951903727014772736?s=09

@adamdawkins You're kidding right?! This is exciting stuff!! Congrats! Welcome to web 3.0.

The community smartly doesn't rely on email, but if you insist, you can subscribe to This Week in the IndieWeb, a weekly digest of recent and upcoming events, posts from IndieNews, and a summary of wiki edits, sent out every Friday afternoon.

@christi3k The best part of cosmetically flawed cookies (as long as they're not burned), is that you get to eat the scraps and start all over again! ;) Cheers to the coming hundreds of attempts in your quest for perfection.

Replied to a post on werd.io :

Hooray!

Your mention of it does make me wonder what your mobile solution looks like...

@asuh Shazam! Now you're cooking with oil.

My micro Monday pick is a 2 for 1 double micro Monday:
I've chosen @aaronpk for all the help he's given to micro.blog quietly in the background as well as for his excellent microcast https://percolator.today/

@cleverdevil This is almost exactly what I was hoping for (and more) when I wrote "Feed reader revolution" over the summer
http://boffosocko.com/2017/06/09/how-feed-readers-can-grow-market-share-and-take-over-social-media/

@cleverdevil That is wicked awesome! I really want a feed reader that can differentiate and sort between photos, checkins, podcasts, etc. in addition to being able to post likes, replies, and reposts directly to my own site through the UI! Watch out @feedly, @Inoreader, et al.

For all my and @JohnsHopkins friends:
I highly recommend attending @IndieWebCamp Jan 20-21

@edsu @Joseph_Koivisto @westgardja @katedohe I suspect that you could use a Homebrew Website Club to do much of what you're contemplating and there's no reason that Institutions and their social presences shouldn't be a part of the bigger discussion as well.

@Joseph_Koivisto @edsu I would also encourage you to think about potentially proposing an Edu-focused session that Saturday to help get a broader conversation going around IndieWeb and education: https://indieweb.org/Indieweb_for_Education
