@xolotl @indiewebcamp And a nice attempt at a well marked up official RSVP on your site no less!

I can only see this and think about #WOPR and #WarGames

@aaronpk @MissSteno Since I know you're a fan of linguistics (and the vowel r), I'll note that I've done some research into the history of stenography and found some interesting overlap with linguistics and ancient memory techniques: https:/
@mattmaldre I suspect it won't change much, since they're primarily used/displayed in comment sections. The bigger effect is going to be on products like Post Kinds Plugin, which may (hopefully) provide even easier modularization for injecting microformats into one's site.
@EddieHinkle @jackyalcine @wilkieii Almost as a joke on Facebook functionality a while back, I posted this voting related post: https:/
There are some interesting suggestions and use cases here as well: http:/
@FedericoCulloca I haven't heard the episode yet, but I actually created a pronunciation page this past week for just this eventuality! If you know where Torvalds' original is, it would be great to document.

@osbridge n.b.: Might be worth updating the homepage and top banner with this year's dates/times. I was accidentally putting last years dates into my calendar for this year...
@zarfeblong I'm sure @manton2 can help you out. He's usually very responsive, and likely more so since multiple people are having the same issue.
Thanks for your questions. Several of us took a stab at answering them in the IndieWeb wiki today. You can find the answers here: https:/
I recall you said you were in the IndieWeb Slack channel, so if you need more specifics or help, please don't hesitate to stop by and one or more folks there will be happy to help you out the best we can.
@aschweig Naturally I see this a minute after the deadline :(

@cathieleblanc I've been using Livescribe pens to do pencasts for 8 years or so, primarily for mathematics lectures. While it's not great at capturing images/slides in a classroom setting (which I do with cell phone photos typically), the pen can capture audio and everything that's written down in a chalkboard lecture. The pen also allows you to go back and to write down additional notes after-the-fact and link those with the spoken audio as well. This makes it a great low bandwidth method for capturing class notes to share with students/classmates who missed class without the need to videotape which generally is both high bandwidth (for sharing) and poor quality for showing what's being written/presented on a board or projector.
I've also used the pen for working my way through problems for students/colleagues in areas where it's necessary to have something written down, but it's useful to have the supplement of spoken audio to add to the problem-solving process.
@jgmac1106 @DoOO I think that one day in the not-too-distant future, the half a dozen IndieWeb plugins for WordPress will not only merge together, but they might also enter the core product, thus making them simpler and easier to use. WordPress can be made much more flexible and extensible with plugins for a variety of purposes and there's a tremendously valuable community and ecosystem that's already there. Further, I think that companies, similar to Reclaim Hosting and the DoOO movement, will eventually spring up to make hosting and owning one's own site simpler and easier. While there's a lot of value baked into Known, its community and resources aren't (yet!) as large or as flexible as WordPress or even other open source communities. Fortunately the IndieWeb principle of plurality will show us the way forward. The more things working toward openness and shared standards will make these ideas all the stronger.
While the recent spate of work on IndieReaders is awesome and inspiring, I'm also curious what is next after that? IndieBrowsers? IndieHardware?
Ultimately I'm grateful that we're all here pressing the boundaries and experimenting with what is possible.
