@atarkowski Congratulations! You might appreciate some of the growing edu/research related examples at https://indieweb.org/Indieweb_for_Education

@denials Are you using Known as a tool, for purposes, or both? https://indieweb.org/Indieweb_for_Education

@Paul_Kinlan Not sure how far away you are, but if you need local company while doing this, try https://indieweb.org/next-hwc or https://indieweb.org/IRC

@Paul_Kinlan I suspect you might appreciate http://indieweb.org/twitter#POSSE_to_Twitter & generally some of the documentation at https://indieweb.org wiki

If newcomers need a site to play with/test for Homebrew Website Club tonight, I've built http://known.boffosocko.com

Congrats on the new WordPress site!

I double checked and found that SemPress is indeed in the main repository: https://wordpress.org/themes/sempress/ Interestingly, because SenPress is a child theme, by installing it, WordPress is smart enough to find the parent theme and download it for you automatically--thus the reason it was waiting for you when you looked to activate it.

For future reference, if you want to install themes from Git or another non-WordPress repo, you can download them (preferably as zip files) and then go to http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/theme-install.php and click the "Upload Theme" button at the top of the page. Then just choose the file you downloaded and click "Install Now". Then from the Appearance >> Themes menu you can activate and customize it if necessary.

I'm curious if you had the benefit of knowing pages like
Getting Started on WordPress: https://indieweb.org/Getting_Started_on_WordPress
Advanced WordPress set up: https://indieweb.org/Advanced_WordPress_Set_Up
WordPress with Brid.gy: https://indieweb.org/WordPress_with_Bridgy
existed?

@cdevroe Checking in to see if you ever finally got Brid.gy set up properly? Or did you give up on it? http://indieweb.org/WordPress_with_Bridgy

Testing to see if a comment on an IndieWeb post to GWG will cause his site to ping Loqi in IRC

@jgmac1106 Are you on the wiki? Could you add yourself to the list of examples at https://indieweb.org/Indieweb_for_Education?

@cleverdevil If you're going to do a tweetstorm, then you should do it so that you still own all of the content at the end. http://boffosocko.com/2017/03/29/indieweb-and-education-tweetstorm/

Aggregating it at the end for easier reading isn't just a bonus feature.

I've written a tad about tweetstorms as they relate to journalism and better aggregation which covers some of this area too: http://boffosocko.com/2017/02/10/tweetstorms-journalism-and-noter-live-a-modest-proposal/

@physcocode Given @drupal codebase/structure, perhaps you could backport to @withknown? It would be great to see more in @drupal!

New silo: pnut.io · Issue #736 · snarfed/bridgy https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy/issues/736

@dg01d has created a [Known plugin](https://github.com/dg01d/KnownPnut) to POSSE to [pnut.io](https://pnut.io/), a small Twitter-like social networking silo. Pnut was created in some sense to replace App.net which recently shut down.

He and @jeremycherfas were chatting on https://chat.indieweb.org/known/2017-03-22#bottom about possibly adding backfeed to Brid.gy for pnut.io. I'm creating this issue as a stub for potential future work, along with the ever-requisite addendum:

OwnYourSwarm is awesome! I love the fact that one can use the fantastically and cleanly engineered mobile UIs of services like Swarm/Foursquare and Instagram, but still also manage to own all of the related data (including GPS) on one's own website. Tools like OwnYourGram and OwnYourSwarm really show the power and value of micropub for the future of the internet.
